Step 0The Hook

"Hey, this is [your name] — I work with plumbing companies specifically. I've got something I think could be relevant to you but before I get into it — do you have 30 seconds?"

Wait for them to say yes. Don't keep talking.

Step 1Tangible — Find Their Goal

"What does your phone situation look like right now when your guys are out on jobs?"

Just get them talking. Don't pitch anything yet.

Step 2Experience — Surface the Problem

"How many calls do you think you're missing on an average day?"

Step 3Logical Certainty — Make Them Question It

"How long have you been handling it that way?"

"What made you set it up like that in the first place?"

Use a slightly skeptical tone on the second line. This makes them question their own process without you attacking it.

Step 4The Problem — Find the Crack

"Do you like it though? Like besides the missed calls, does the setup work for you?"

"Is there anything you'd change about it if you could?"

Get them to say yes first — then find the crack with the second question.

Step 5Amplify the Pain

"How long has that been going on?"

"Has that had any impact on like the revenue side of things?"

Only after you have pain —

"Okay — I actually built something specifically for this. Lets set up a meeting and we talk more about this."
