Social Futurism is the philosophy of social progress through technology. At core it is based upon one Axiom, from which is derived a set of six core Principles. The Principles were first developed by the Zero State community to guide their self-governance, and are currently under revision.

Beyond the Axiom and Principles, those communities guided by such will naturally have their own rules and traditions. The Social Future Institute (SFI) explores the potential tensions between such rules and the Principles, and works to better understand and improve the logical basis of the Principles themselves.
